8v or 16v
« on: 22 February 2005, 09:09 »
Hi Everyone,

I've always had Mk2 8v's, but now I'm after a Mk3. I'm thinking of going for a 16v, but whats everyones opinions on the Mk3 8v and 16v? Which one should I go for? What are the bhp's of both if standard?

Cheers,
ajh

8v 115bhp
16v 150bhp

Go for the 16v as 8v isn't really that quick. Unless you can afford to stretch to a vr6.

Thanks for the info mate. I would love a VR6 but have only got ?2k max to spend and don't think that would buy me a very good one

Yea Green is unlucky!

Mystic Blue is best!

Whatever colour you choose its GOT to be a 16v - no contest!

I've got an 8v. Tryed a 16v but found the 8v a more usable car. cheaper to insure aswell. uses less petrol. Big bonus
