I don't know, it's not that bad

it's a 78 series one in VGC
has 30k odd miles on the shell
50k miles on the engine

You'd spend close to that just for the motor and conversion easily.

Actually I used to love my first MK1 which was only a 1.3 GTI look-a-like.... still went pretty well..... well i thought so anyway but then I was only 18.

I'm with you shaun, I prefer the other models now to the GTi's because the GTi's are over done nowadays whereas the smaller engined counterparts don't get as much show time!
Would be awesome to rip past a Bims in that little motor  :evil:
