Exhaust System.
« on: 21 February 2005, 15:49 »
Hi.

I am looking to change my exhaust system from the standard pea shooter version to some thing more stylish and add a little more to the performance.

Could any one recomend one .

Cheers

a Powerflow system is the usual answer. It can be tailor made to suit you requirements.
I went for a modified Mongoose backbox, with a powerflow carbon-fibre wrapped tailpipe, and I had the cetnral silencer removed. This was around ?500 for the work to be carried out, but looks great and sounds awesome.
I don't own this anymore - I just can't be arsed to change the picture

I'm waiting for my exhaust to go and then I'm going down the powerflow route, I just don't know whether to get a round tail pipe or a letter box style to keep with the squareness of the car.  :undecided:

I think it's a 3" pipe. If you check out the powerflow website, you will see it. It is the one wrapped in carbon fibre.
Gibby - go for the round one, it will fit in with the exhuast cutout on the clipper bumper better.

nice zorst!(on the rather fine red one) mine had a full system on it when i got it but i dont like the back box on it! it comes out at an angle (nova style) lol
and it kind of hangs down a little too much for my liking! tryed to sort it but with tie raps but it rattled of the undernith of the car when i did so had to put it back the way it was!
