Bosch Batteries
« on: 10 January 2011, 18:26 »
OK, so I'm getting a new battery and I'm going for a Bosch one (well I think).

They got three types: S3, S4 and S5.

I was thinking about an S3 as I don't see why I need much more. Its the right size for its place in boot (207x175x190). Its got a capacity of 45Ah and a cold test current of 400A. I will have the blowers on full, headlights on and the CD player (no amps or extra speakers).

With a 3 year guarantee and an online price of £40 delivered its seems like a good buy. Reckon I could get it cheaper in my local EuroCarParts.

Anyone got any better suggestions? I drive the car everyday, work is a 5/6 mile drive and I will usually use the car in the evening.

Thanks,

Alex :)

You will be fine with that battery and for that price you cant really go wrong, like you said that you have no extra speakers or amps which really do drain batteries and your work is a good enough journey to charge your battery and keep it good.

If i was looking for a new battery i would only get Bosch as have had other before and been crap.

Sounds good. Its got a three year guarantee, so if I have to replace it after that, I have no problem with that!
