I was just teasing. I had seriously considered the GTD but I do about 5-7k a year, the economy argument doesn't win out on that basis.

If things continue the way they are going I'd probably look at another Golf but then again if VW continue with their crazy pricing I may well look elsewhere.

I'd agree with what you say about the prices, i'm pretty sure i'll stay with VAG personally though, i'd even consider going to Skoda! they do a couple of tasty cars now.

I'm not too sure on this just yet, as I am looking at motors right now? I dont keep them to long 18 months ,2 yrs max!! I do have an addiction for new cars   love the smell and feel of a new car

p3asa: You cannot be serious and accuse Skoda of making 'tasty' cars. They might be reliable and well made but they look like toads. It certainly takes a leap of faith to hanker for one of them.
