The best Sharan/Alhambra/Galaxy forum I found was:
http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/

Loads of useful info on there in the sticky's and very knowledgeable people

Check the manifold to the blocks on some they tend to blow due to heat and metal expansion on diesel models.
1.9 is really good on fuel as stated they are heavy, but did get a motor bike in the back of one!

Went to have a look at the 1999 clean and tidy motor this morning. Got there to find an N reg nail on the drive. Had a look around and as always went to pop the bonnet which could not be done so we walked away !!!!!!!!!!!!

WTH, do they really expect to get away with it?

It did sound too good to be true though.

Boss's sister having a 2.3 Galaxy and dad having a 3.3 Chrysler,

haters gone hate but I'd honestly go for the Merc Engined 2.8CRD Chrysler Voyager.

Reliable (not really had any trouble with ours, waterpump and fan relay) and so comfy it's untrue. Also has a bit of poke if you want it.

Where all my moneys went.

Golf MK3 1.6. Golf MK3 8v GTI.
