oh no, injector help

just tryed removing my problem injector and the silver end has stayed in the engine, if I put it back the car still starts but I really need it all out.

Damn sounds like a nasty situation to be in... never done this before but whats keeping it in there? does it require force to get it out, cos if not what about a magnetic tool?

If I were you I would get a really big Allen key to fit into the shim housing "the Brass insert" in which you put the injectors into. Hopefully the old rubber o ring is enough to hold the injector head long enough for you to undo the shim! If not and it falls into the block you are in the shi*t!
If you want me to put up a picture of the Shim so you know what I'm getting at I'll dig one out for you as I still have four brand new shims in a packet I've not used yet!
I'm dumb founded you managed to seperate the spray nozzle from the injector body?
Can you show me a picture of the injector without the nozzle just for my collection of weird shi*t people get themselves into

The size of the Hex key would be about 13mm if I remember it correctly and the shims are just the seats which the technical name is collets!
Here are some new shiny ones, they become black after some time in the manifold!

Failing that just get the lower manifold off and press it out from behind, but you will need a new gasket once the manifold has been off!
