ICE Thread for a Lazy Ol' Git
« on: 07 January 2011, 19:09 »
Gents and gals, most of you regulars already know by now that I am lazy git, and could have read some threads on other pages of this forum but I'm simply after a quick answer....
My last car was a brand new 2005 plate Nissan (yes....I know !) and I installed 2 x subs in this. But as this vehicle. like most new cars, had a new (for the time) audio system and a built in sat nav, so the connections to the amp were not directly connected to the vehicle's audio system. In fact, the connection was to the output of the rear speakers and even with some boosters, it wasn't the best compared to say output to connected directly to the main system of the car.
According to my missus I'm not allowed another 2 subs in the boot of the Mk6 GiT, so am now looking to boost the 'sounds' with a simple bass tube (or something similar, all suggestions are welcome). What is the best connection I can get with this (I am built in Sat Nav) without affecting any other parts of the standard car (such as steering-wheel controls etc)?

I know I am being lazy here, so please do not reply suggesting that I am being a w**nker for posting this.

I would really appreciate positive responses, though, as personally I am only on the Mk6 forum.

Thanks in advance, and again apologise for ignorance !

Mk6 GiT since birth in 2010

Red:
Lazy you certainly are.
Read my signature and slide a Pioneer Sub-woofer under her bottom (passanger seat). Works a treat.
Had mine installed by Auto Audio in Park Royal.
And before you ask, no I don't have a picture.
Costs approx £250 in total, unit, labour and VAT.

*Underseat Pioneer TS-WX11A Sub-woofer*

Happy pumping!
