Our Mk6 just back from 1st annual service and this included, under warranty:

New Coolant Water Pump
New Horn (Fanfare 'low' tone apparantly)
New Mechatronics (and software..)
New Noise Damping Pan
Repaired and painted Left Hand fender print (the main body part between rear door and wheel arch, which was creased)
New monza shadow wheel...on order (due to surface corrosion)
New rear view mirror trim
Re-programmed DSG paddle response time (quicker!)

Very pleased at replacement of mechatronics as car is much smoother to drive. Paddle shifts much quicker but it seems in 'D' the car hangs on to a low gear much more than before, almost as if in 'S' which will take some getting used too.

Despite the above surprisingly long list of faults (our MkVGti never put a foot wrong in 3 years..), we still love the car and  she'll remain a part of our family for a while to come.

How many miles have you done? Sounds like it was knackered.
Diagonally parked in a parallel universe.
On Order: Mk8 R, Pure White, Reversing Camera, Harmon Kardon, Heated seats all round.
Gone: Mk7.5 R, 5dr, DSG, Deep Pearl Black, 18” Cadiz, Nav, Winter Pack, Keyless, Dynaudio and Reversing camera.
Gone: Mk7 R, 5dr, DSG, Limestone Grey, 19" Pretoria's, Nav Pro, DCC, Winter Pack, Keyless, Mobile Prep and Reversing Camera.
Gone: Mk6 GTD, 5dr, Manual, Tornado Red, 18" Vancouvers, RCD510 + Dynaudio, heated seats.

We did point out most of the issues apart from the coolant pump and tbh got a pretty lack lustre response initially from the Service Advisor so we weren't holding out much hope. However, she emailed us the next day saying all the issues we'd pointed out and more were to be fixed under warranty and did I mind if they kept the car for another 3 days to fix all..?

So overall we're really happy with the service we received, even got a nice coffee  while we waited to pick the car up and it had been cleaned inside and out. Top marks VW HK!

I take it HK is Hong Kong? If so i should bloody well hope you get good service! Don't GTI's cost a fortune out there??? Like £50,000 or something like that?

Do you know what "New Noise Damping Pan" is?

There is quite a lot on this in a Google search.

It could be the sound dampening pan which is like this:
http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=84109

or

The under belly dampening pan which is this:
http://www.passatworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=316769

So there seem to be three kinds and one of them is for the fuel tank.
