Boot lock (latch)

Does anyone know if the boot lock (internal latch) is the same as the doors?
I can only find door ones.

Different part number so no.

I may have a spare on an old rusty tailgate I've got

What condition might it be in? and how much would u want for it?

I'll try and check tomorrow - wouldn't want much, just a few quid for it - the tailgate is pretty much scrap anyway

is this a common fault on mk2's ? 

as mine doesn't work with the key only on the central locking on the drivers door   

is there a list of common faults ?

My missus is still on maternity so she is in most of the time. Any day except Monday is okay, afternoons and evenings are usually better

manual and cl button is different too so make sure you get one to match. though can use either if you fit thew whole thing including the button, just if you have cental locking then obv manual one wont work with the cl any more. cl one will fit and work fine on a manual car
