Painting front splitter.
« on: 07 January 2011, 09:57 »
Ive been debating this for awhile now.
Now i have found someone to paint my car once all the boot is finished and the bumper has had its numberplate recess cut in etc ive realised that there will not be anything else on the car that is black plastic coloured.

I know splitters take loads of grief but im thinking it wont look right if this is just stuck on the front. The car is LA9V brilliant black metallic which isnt a common colour on the car.
Would it be feesable or would it just crack and chip and look pants?
What about vinyl wrapping?

Opinions please.

it depends on just how much abuse yours gets and how low you're running i guess.

I would leave it plastic with the amount of abuse they get.

imo it will look worse when it is painted and then gets chipped and scratched within a week or two

I would not bother to be honest Mate.  Mine is like yours and is all colour coded except for the front splitter and it does not look too bad. I think mine would look odd with a colour coded front splitter but yours is Black anyway so would carry it off better Mate.
