I dont no anything about models etc but like alot of things for sale name,quality and rareness probably played a part in its price im not saying its worth that but to someone its worth it a collector maybe..

Love the beetle like you said is very cool how it looks dirty and old very realistic.My dad use to collect 356 speedster models as he had one him self and after he sold the car gave them all to me but my 4 year old discovered them and in less than an hour he pulled at least 4 of them to bits the little git  :angry:
