ratting is for old VWs (i.e. campers, beetles, fastbacks etc) and not reasonably new (20 years old new ! ) ones. In my opinion. :afro:
......now officially dubless.

I'm really not sure on full body rusting on anything to be honest.

lacquer would stick to rust very well at all. certainly not for long

agreed. rat should (IMO) be patina. the signs of age. not forced like this

Wrong!

Slightly different, instead of stripping the paint, this look is called, beating all the panels to an inch of their lives, removing all the door rubbers and let the rain pi55 in and let it rot from the inside out.. but.... make sure the engine is shiney.

This doesn't even look road worthy with that tailgate!.. how sharp!?... and some of the other holes in bad places like near the windscreen.

That Mk1 looks absolutely class. I'm sure that as the metal holes, if filled and repaired it can only add to the look. Lovely stuff

Not a fan, apart from the rims and interior (- beads)
But chrome bumpers could tart it up.
Waste really, same as that 'hood ride' mk1
