Front Centre Armrest
« on: 05 January 2011, 16:51 »
Just bought an 08 Edition 30 with full spec...dsg, sat nav, xenons, winter pack, lux pack etc etc but I think the first owner forgot to pick a central armrest! Just feels like its missing... where's the cheapest place to get 1 from? and how hard are they to fit? Cheers!

Does seem strange they ticked all those options & no arm rest  :undecided:. Dealers won't be cheap or try some breakers yards ?. Air con vents work in the rear as well if you fit them up.

I just have a standard Mk5 and i bought one off ebay that needed some bits. Got the bits from a mate who works for VW and it still cost me over £150!! And it was a real pain in the backside to fit!

.........thing is to keep looking if your going to build one up over time with parts etc longer but could be cheaper in the long run, just the waiting game. I'm shure an ED30 top went the other week on ebay.As before breakers could be a good option, try www.findapart.co.uk

You need one to keep your sat nav in.  My only extras when I bought my real GTI were centre armrest and high line display.  The came came new from Holland so was already fitted with cruise control.

hi all new here.

I have a 2007 Mk 5 3 door (my 2nd one as the first was stolen when it was only 10 months old!)

I have the centre armrest fitted to mine but made the mistake of leaving our new husky puppy in the car for 5 mins and he promptly decided to chew it!!

Ive been in touch with VW and they want £185 just for the cushion!! tried ebay but not found anything.. any ideas as to where i can get one at a resonable price.

Also need a new parcel shelf(£135 at vw)

our car came from holland too. Has armrest, highline display, heated leather, xenons, sat nav, cruise control etc
only give away was the service book being in dutch - all other books were in english.

can't fault the car though
