radio signal loss

 mk 4 2003  ,gamma  radio the signal comes and goes is this  a common problem   ? all the leads are tight etc

Reception wasn't great on my Gamma, more sensitive than on other cars I've had.
My Golf is dead but at least I have this....

mines bang on, check the aerial sill on the roof, mine had split and over time rusted the connector underneath

+1, take the aerial off, squirt some WD40 on the thread and screw it back on. Had to do this when I had my Mk4 and reception was fine after that...  :wink:

No just unscrew it from the base on the roof of the car...
