how you gona solve ya understeer problems ??

fibreglass bonnet and wings, inch bigger wheels with 1/2 inch lower profile (slick) tyres, drop the back end 15 mill, stiffen the rear end up slightly, and get the tyre pressures right !!!!!!!!

all of what i have done to the car, the tyre pressures made the most difference on track.

As it's a track car not a road car it might be worth seeing if using spacers you can tilt the engine back a bit. There's a guy on club GTI who races a VR, might be worth checking out his threads to se ehow he dealt with the boat anchor up front. I've seen his car on track and it looked to handle perfectly.

You'll never get rid of completely though, it's a FWD car after all. I can get my 8v to understeer like mad even on the semi slicks if I go mad with the throttle mid corner.

My 1.6 MK3 understeers like a b!tch.

Even if you are coasting, the tail just doesn't come out. Just goes diagonal. Perhaps it's the cheap tyres but I remember Ess going on about it.

Where all my moneys went.

Golf MK3 1.6. Golf MK3 8v GTI.

A good quality susp kit would help with the understeer.

you get what you pay for, but id suggest knocking on the door of the motorsport section :afro:

I don't think a semi will give the same results

Looks very soft, might be worth looking at a sorting the susp. and fitting uprated anti roll bars

I was just about to suggest that. It looks to dip a lot under braking too, I'd look at damper adjustable coilovers, you get what you pay for with them, so try and stretch the budget as far as you can go, then dd £50 on top of that

And why the music over the vid? Let the engines do the singing next time!
