more noise from the pd150

recently posted regarding the noise my golfs been making recently, whilst idling theres a clunk every 5-6 seconds when it happens the revs drop from very slightly and when the ignition is turned off the engine makes a short rumble? has anyone have any idea? may give r-tech a ring  :sad:

Is this clunk coming from the gearbox side of the engine?

Sounds abit like your dmf mate  :sick:   Mines knackered and rumbles when giving it some, but its going to cost me around £600 to have it all done so it can wait till spring me thinks  :evil:

recon theres any danger of leaving it for a while? i.e gearbox, linkages etc

Depends how bad it is, mine seems pretty bad but has been like it for 3 months  now and hasnt got any worse or damaged anything else. Worst it will do is wear your clutch out but obviosly you will replace that when you have the flywheel done so no biggy.

i notice youve got jamex coilvers mate, are they any good? whats the ride like? ive had FK's before and they were quite harsh but they are cheap  :rolleyes:

Could be an EGR fault? Get it on vagcom and see.

If it is the flywheel, a worn clutch is definitely not the worst that could happen... it could throw the crank off balance, byebye engine. :undecided:

I think there pretty good for the price tbh mate, car handles 10x better and they still seem to offer some comfort. I got mine supplied and fitted for £260 so i was pretty happy with them for that.
