Good tool chest to get?
« on: 02 January 2011, 18:53 »
At the moment all I have is a cheap socket set with half the bits missing and a cheap screwdriver set from lidl's, although it does have all the TORX bits you could ever want.

I'm thinking about getting this one from halfords. At half price is it a good deal? Are the bits included bits that will be needed with my MK4 golf?

If you buy halfords, I would buy Halfords Advanced/Professional. Its got lifetime guarantee and they are really good quality tools for the money! A few of my mates use them everyday and haven't had any issues and I have just got a set and so far so good! Much better than any cheap set I have owned!

Don't feel as good as Snap-On tools, but for the price I'd say they are great tools.

Yeah i had a look around the site and found a set of 90 pieces for £60, That's the professional stuff. Will probably save a bit and get that set instead.

I bought that one for my first tool set, and i must admit that some of the rachets have lasted longer than more expencive draper ones :)

Loads of tool and seroiusly worth the money, unless you want something amazing like snap on :)
