What is your actual problem? Intermittent brake lights? If so then replace the switch.  Approx £10 from the dealers and 10 minutes to fit it :afro:

alighty rhyso posted about it a bit ago in tdi section but had a bit of time getting a abs pumpo the same pat number lol as vw wanted 1500 fo pump alone.

quick break down story
1. soft break when switch on in morn reverse or pull out of space and brake light flashes on and three beepes pump brake then all good for journey, stop get paper jump in and same again, happens now alot lot more so.

2. had full brake strip down and brakes bled. 171 quid next day same thing. advise from vw guy  next

3. new master cylinder 250 quid seemed ok then next day beep beep beep. fault code scanner hadnt popped anything up till then , code rcame up 01435. so

4. brake lights all good so looking like it a sensor which i hav found is inside the abs pump so that next thing to replace (fault code not reapeared sice reset but prob has)
5. instead of paying for a vag com session and have used this guy alot on my mk3 gti he said give him p code and he check. but i did find it funny he couldn't check with code i gave him.

there probably isnt a P-code equivilant if it is a manufaucturer specific code..

definition of the code is....
VOLKSWAGEN - Brake pressure sender -1-,-G201

so am i right in thinking the brake pressure sensor would be inside the abs pump????????????????/

hence a replacement unit needed? if so i'll buy the unit i hav found as it seems my part number on my abs is quiet rare lol i would have to buy a pd100 engine lol.

That it is.  Mate of mine had the same fault code on his MK5 and ended up with a replacement ABS unit.  Luckily he only just bought it so the garage footed the near 1K bill
