I would like to fit new front seats in my mk2 3door since
a. I am 6’ 5â€
b. The driver’s door side backrest is torn.

After looking around a bit I decided my best option would be to look for a good condition pair of corrado front seats that fit straight in and also sit a bit lower. I have roughly measured the difference from the lowest point of the bench cushions to the car floor in both my mk2 and my mate’s corrado with standard seats and found the corrado seats to be about 2 inches lower (both seats are height adjustable and were set to their lowest setting).
Do corrado recaros sit even lower? If they don’t it wouldn’t be worth the price difference for me.
I have noticed there are three types of corrado seats and these are the standard ones and the recaro ones and electric ones. I don't much care about the electric ones as they are heavier and don’t sit as low. The standard ones sell for about £150 on ebay while the recaro ones for about £750. Leather ones are even more, but I wouldn't want to fit leather ones anyway. Also naturally, I wouldn't want to have different trim front and rear seats so my options are:
a. fit a complete corrado interior. This can be done reasonably easily as far as the rear seats are concerned following the matey-matey guide.
My question is, what would I do with the door cards and rear trim cards. Do these fit from a corrado into a 3 door mk2?
b. Fit corrado front seats in the same color trim as my existing golf interior. Does this trim even exist on the corrado? (see pic below)
c. Fit corrado front seats and retrim mk2 rear seats with corrado rear trim – this logically seems to be easier than re-trimming the front corrado seats.
