Hey all, got myself a mk5 back in the summer and love it to bits.  Here it is hope you all like it. Your thoughts and opinions of mods I can make would be much appreciated.

Welcome to the site, nice car you have there good choice of colour, take a look in the mapping section if you are looking to mod.  Quite easy to get another 40bhp with a stage 1 map.

Lovely colour

You can literally go on for ever with modifications. It just depends how far you want to go.

Personally a nicely set-up GTI should have....

17" lightweight alloys and Toyo R1R's for summer and proper winter tyres for those Cooooooooold months
Uprated front brakes as the standard ones are only good enough for spirited cruising
REVO stage 2 remap (which takes account of the two mods below)with the SPS+ controller
A nice throaty intake - I personally like the look of the Forge Twintake
A decent warbly exhaust - A catback or full Turbo-back exhaust with a non-resonated centre section.
If you don't want/need the adaptability of a full coilover system, then H&R springs with Koni FSD dampers give a good balance and stance.
If you do want the adaptability of coilovers I can recommend the Bilstein B16 coilovers highly.
To help with the stability in corners and off the line Anti-roll bars front and rear and a Whiteline Anti-lift Kit.

Not cheap, but as my favourite saying goes....

Fast and cheap ain't reliable, cheap and reliable ain't fast and fast and reliable ain't cheap.
