Intermittent/parking wipers problem

Purchaced first MK11 16 v - excellent old school hot hatch!! Advice sought as both front & rear wipers dont self park and no intermitent function on the fronts.

Is this a fault with the

wiper mechanism?
stalk switches?
or control box somewhwere?

Any advice appreciated!

Sounds like the relay is buggared. They are above the main fuses, on the drivers side above the pedals.

yep the relay has gone be the sound of it and as VR6 put its above the fuses, not sure which one but operate the wipers and touch each one in turn , you'll feel it clicking if it isnt that far knackered.

The relay should click, or i think the wipers wouldn't work at all maybe.
