jojo: Love Shadow Blue. Snoops will have a twin at last.
I think I am just a sucker for cars that "change colour" with the light/viewing angle. My first car was a white 1976 beetle which I had lacquered to give a very subtle pearlescent effect. In grey cloudy weather it was just a white beetle but in the sunshine it had a v. slight purple hue which was just beautiful. But what I liked about it was how it changed. On most days I wouldn't notice it, but when the sun came out I would fall in love all over again. Much like with a significant other, I hear. So I am kind of looking forward to that feeling again.
I also like that it's a bit dull when the sun's not out. One one of the posts Snoopy linked to (thanks!) someone said it looks like a TDI and that suits me. That's what I want people to think when I come up behind them. I did have a long think about the wheels, though. I can see what people don't like about the black Monza's with the Shadow Blue. But my little brother just said "Those Shadows look so cool!" and he's right. And the though that my little brother thinks my wheels are cool, well you can't beat it. Besides, you can't really see them on a rear view mirror. And this way I have an extra incentive to try something different when winter wheel time comes.
