got basically the same tips off a garage again this morning, 99% sure the carb at fault somewhere, start by looking at the choke. Wait for heat on the exchanger on the right side wich warms the aluminium chunk and in turn the bi metallic spring which turns the choke butterfly.....
OK so had a further play today......
No temperature on the side of the carb. Opened the air box up and off, and choke staying shut solid.
Had a right result as the blockage was there, and i had a spare off a carb that has been gradually raped over the last couple of years, wax stat was the last bit that got borrowed off it!! As soon as i had it removed i had leak on both pipes so that was a bonus to see liquid move......
Swapped over and got that spring over correctly and i was cooking on gas and the choke opened up no probs...... heres hoping for better this tank, or shes up for sale piece by piece......
