Well after my last attempt at a Mk2 Gti I have the itch once more (as well as learning what can go wrong).
I plan on searching for one in the new year after my wedding is out of the way and my bank balance can get back to normal, my budget will be around £1000 - 1200 is this enough? Will be after a 1.8 8v again as performace isnt an issue as I have a weekend toy for that.
How often do they crop up with knackered engines as I wouldnt mind doing a rebuild on one this time as I ran out of time and space with the last one.
