Went to NY back in 1999 but I was just a nipper then and have almost wanted to go back. I think Vegas speaks for itself and road trip, well, was a bit of a no brainer.

Land in NYC and will be driving down the East coast via Washington, Baltamore etc as far as Orlando then hitting right along the bottom via Panama City, New Orleans, Houston, Dallas etc then heading into Vegas and finishing off in LA.

All that in a Nissan Sentra (yeah, I'd never heard of that either) which should be interesting.

Indeed.  When I visited they made it clear they would not allow me into the country unless I could provide proof of where I was staying for the duration, and proof that I had a flight home booked.

Seriously, I'm from the UK, why would I want to try and stay illegally in a worse country?

We will have some places booked but not all of them as its a road trip some will be staying at motels we find on the way. Ive had issues with the embassy and trying to get information on where I stand with my criminal conviction, its been bloody hard work.
