Simon on the Golf there at the bottom of the door so do a lot more than just light the interior...together with the puddle lights in the mirrors(if you have them) they are excellent for lighting the area at the sides of the car.

Ive got the puddle lights on my Golf which are great, the door lights on my Golf are slightly lower than on my Touran but obviously they dont light up on the Golf, they do light up on the Touran( x 4 doors), but they are not really much use the bulbs dont seem that bright they would be ok in conjunction with puddle lights
