Why didn't Ed do the repairs?
Simple enough on a 1.3

I wasnt the repairs that bothered me, it was because i simply couldnt afford to buy the patrs as im now living at uni, so it had to go

Well, here are some pics of how it is now!

After spending all afternoon with cutting compound and polish, it now looks 100 times better, no more tornado pink for me. I didn't take any before pics though, but I'm well happy.

Please excuse the pic quality, it was dark (I spent too long trying to polish the damn thing!) I'll take some better ones soon.

I spose it looks like just another GTI to you, but I love it. So much fun to drive. (I had a mk3 astra 1.4 before? :embarassed:).

?270 aint bad is it? its a D reg, with Tax and MOT till June. All it needed was two tyres, and everything else seems fine. I'm not booting it too much yet though. I want to check the cambelt first. how easy is it to change the belt on an 8 valve?

Will they? I thought they were beyond repair, as the laquer has come off them. I'm not familiar with G3 paste. I've got some PEEK metal polish, but that isn't abrasive enough I don't think.
