I replaced the drop links a few months ago, the noise got a bit better, but not resolved all together!
The car has just gone through it's MOT and the only suspension component required was the O/S wishbone to be replaced, drop links were tested as fine.

The car also pulls to the left sometimes - the mechanic said this will be the calipers as the MOT said imbalanced brakes so he replaced the brakes but it still pulls the left, it has NO play in the steering and tracking was done recently.

Should the next parts to be replace be the track rods/ends? anything else that could cause worn drop link noise/pulling to the left?

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.
