« on: 24 December 2010, 18:40 »
well how gutted am i..!!! paid 10K for my stunning red gti a few month ago, only on 68k serviced every 10k well looked after golf, like all my vw,s in the past.

Anyway went out today to drop off some presents for my family & friends not far an the car juggered abit,
within the next min or so the car was misfiring like mad drove home o.k but never been so gutted in all my life..!!!!

Any feed back would be great, just to put my mind at rest.

Sounds very much like a coil pack TBH. Very Easy fix if it is, need to scan it first - i would take it to a VW specialist as a VW dealer will rip you off

Sounds like a coilpack. Check all the coilpacks by removing each one, whichever one doesn't make a difference is at fault.

I'd buy 2, change one and keep another in the boot as a spare :afro:

Change one and keep one as a spare.

I've had new cars that have cost well in excess of 50k with worse faults than this so please don't beat yourself up :-)
