Well as per most people I've been reading posts on here for a while so thought I'd better join up!
I've had loads of VeeDubs in my time including 3 x Mk2 8 valve GTIs. I'm 38 so fairly aged.
My true love is the Mk2 but I've currently got a Mk3 8 valve GTI (5 door) as I basically gave up trying to find a decent condition Mk2.
The Mk3 is no rocket ship obviously but it's not as bad as some make out. I find it has fairly decent mid-range torque for 'real world' driving situations
Anyway, that'll do for a first post!
