There is quite a few threads about GAP insurance as others have linked too. I have asked about it more than once too. So a search with my username may bring threads up.

Paid £175 for GAP insurance from my dealer. Think they originally wanted about £500  :shocked:

Thank you. Just been reading small print on a couple of policies and it looks like chipping is a real no no.

Might check on forum or start new thread, but anyone know about chipping, insurance and GAP?

After serious consideration, I have pulled out of the deal. £33,000 on a Golf was just too extreme!

£23,000 on a nearly-new with most of the bits seems a little more palatable!

GTI would be awesome, but the GTD can be almost as much fun. Motorway driving and commute mean better MPG and that will mean a lot more in the years to come.
