HELP please
« on: 21 December 2010, 20:00 »
Hi all ,

First of all i own a golf 1.4 W reg (2000)

Right couple of months back my oil light came on (orange one) so i put some oil in car and it was fine, till now, driving through town today and it beeped, i looked at the dash and the red oil light was flashing , i have read up on it, and it seems to be the pressure?

Any ideas how i can fix this? im not clued up about engines at all, so have no idea where to start , any help would be appreciated

also, sorry if this is posted in wrong section.

thanks

Dean

Sounds like a blocked oil pick up in the sump Do not drive or run it!

Has it been serviced properly in the past?

i have no idea on the service as the daft thing came with no service history, i have only had it part serviced with oil filled up spark plugs changed and oil filter changed as well as throttle body cleaned, also today went to put window down (electric) and it pinged and the glass fell down luckily didnt smash but ive been told the wires wil have tangled and will probly cost over £100 to sort out anyone any info on this?

Hi mate i had the same problem with mine  but the glass had scratched-so i went to VW and orderd a new driver side window( £50 i think ) it worked out that the holder where the glass  slots in was loose and just needed new rubber holders and then to be screwd tight - been good sinse

you might get away with just a re-position £0

Good luck with it
