Alarm LED 5 quick flashes when armed then does as before, Is this normal?

Alarm LED seems to flash 5 times quite brightly when you lock the door ie arm the alarm.
Then it goes back to its quick flash every so often and stays like this.
Is this normal?

I've not checked this aspect and cannot until I get my car back.
I have not noticed any initial extra bright flashing either. Probably not as observant as you.
What I have noticed is only the regular flashing of the LED and also that the MFD stays on for some 30 secs.

That's normal snoopy, exactly what mine does, 4-5 quick flashes and then steady every 2 seconds give or take

I second that, once the alarm and imob are activated it flashes quickly 4/5 times, before settling down to regular heartbeats !
