admiral dont half make things hard.
« on: 16 December 2010, 19:26 »
bought insurence with admiral a while ago now, and sent off my NCB, about a week later got a email off them saying there still waiting for proof of my NCB so fanny around ringing them up, must have spent a good 45 mins on the phone and eventually they say ok we havent received it but give us your old insurence details and we will ring up the company you were with and check it out. so i give them the insurence details, then he puts me on hold and comes back a few minuits later, i had done quotes with window tints and the car being lowerd to see how much it would be (the car is standard) and these quotes have came up on there databas so started questioning me about that, after another 10 mins or so we come to the conclusion that seens my car is standard i will send them photos and a letter to prove this and they will change my insurence policy so that it says i have lowerd the car and got window tints and then remove the mods when they receive the letter (whats the legalities of this? as my insurence is wrong but saying that ive got a modded car instead of standard through no fault of my own), i sent that letter off about 2 weeks ago now.

had a letter waiting when i got home today saying that they have tried to remove the best part of £300  from my bank but were unable to do so.
as you would i rang them up, they say they havent received my letter or pictures so tried to take the money and just put the mods on my car and after 10 or so mins of talking to some young chap trying to explain the situation im in he puts me on hold and then the line goes dead, so i ring back up and have to spend the next 20 minuits trying to explain to the next person whats going on, eventually he goes for a chatt with his manager to see what there going to do and askes me to now email the pictures to them.

must have spent atleast 10 quid so far talking to them on there 8p/min telephone line.

...and i thought getting HIC to call you back was hard

problem with admiral is they are actually a broker and not a insurance company I found this out when claiming on my house insurance, and found out I was inusred with legal and general and not admiral themselfs

They messed up my MK2 insurance and left me driving a car uninsured for a day. Just as well I was not pulled over. There would have been blood.
