I have had a look on autotrader and I have gone right up to nearly £20,000 and none of them say anything about the dsg model, are they really rare or more expensive then that or what? I don't really get how to find out if there that model or not cos that's the one I would love but dont no if there way out of my price range

The R32 is more costly to run.
The one to buy is a standard GTI with DSG.  If it's too slow (and it isn't really) then remap it for an extra 40 bhp.
You save money and have car of the year (autocar gave the standard GTI five stars, it only gave the ED30 and R32 four stars).

Simple

Have you set the search for AUTOMATICS?  And engine size above 3 litres?

I've found about 20

Autoexpress did an item on buying a GTI.
Their conclusion was just to buy an unmodified real GTI.

That's why I bought bluefin.  It can be removed by me when I come to sell.
Just because I don't like the ED30 does not make me a troll, you know.

yeh i will after christmas i think, the main reason i want the R is the noise they make i love it i dont really do loads of miles so shouldnt be to bad i only work 10 miles from my house so will only be doing 20 miles a day most days is the tax £400 a year?

Depending on when it was registered I believe so the later the model, the higher the tax bracket
..........correct over 400.00 quid a year on the last registered ones .
