Does the fob have MPT1340 written on the back of it?

It looks the same as mine, the button the the left arms/disarms as you say, and the button on the right is a panic button. It sets the hazards/alarm off when pressed, also the slider on the side is something to do with the sensors inside the car.

I've got the instructions out in the car if you'd like me to scan/upload?

Yes.....spot on MPT 1340........if you could scan the instructions in I would appreciate it, thank you

I know that my mate does have 'some' paperwork for this car but I doubt very much he has anything on this.....still waiting for it, in fact I think I'll chase him up now.

This K-Seal stuff seems like it might just do the job...........been looking around other forums for testimonies. This appears to be typical of the feedback:-

We had a head gasket go on a car (one of my family) rather than doing the job i put k-seal in, just to get me by untill the weather warmed up and i was gonna do the head gasket  18months later its still running fine - didnt get round to doing the h/g and no probs since  can't say it'll be good for ever but the stuff does work 100% sure

I'll obviously introduce it with just the water that's in there for now. Just wondering what it will be like once I put the proper stuff in there. Talking of which, I have some G12 that I use for the MkIV. Is that OK on the MkIII or is it better to use G11?

Hmmmm, maybe I won't. Looking on their website it is fully compatible with all antifreeze types so I think I will purchase some G11 or G12 and put the K-seal in with it. Now which is best to use? G11 or G12?

G12 is fine or G12+ as i thinks its known now.
Only the original G12 had a problem mixing with G11, this stuff won't be around anymore.

Cheers Corin. I'll use the G12+ which is now on order along with the K-seal and a windscreen washer pump that will be needed for the MOT.

I've now got the paperwork and I can see from the last MOT (that expired in October 2010) that there were some problems with the brakes and exhaust so I'm going to look at them now. I'll also have a look at this alarm immobiliser problem with the help of the information provided from here

Corin, I'll get that test kit back to you soon but would like to hold onto the manual a little longer if that's OK.

I'm not in a rush Rich for any of the gear back.
I would like my ELSA discs back though, have you installed them yet? I want to put them on my new laptop!
Keep hold of the bentley manual for now mate if you want to

Hi Corin, I did try the ELSA discs but the install didn't seem to get on well with Windows 7 or Vista. Should I have done it on my old laptop under Windows XP?

My delivery of G12+, K-Seal and the windscreen washer pump arrived from ECP today. I was looking forward to cracking on tomorrow but now this has happened
