Thanks for your offer but seeing as the parts are missing I think I will firstly try and better route the induction kit. If I can't position it where I want it then I'll come back to you about buying your airbox

No worries, its here if you need it :afro:

Thank you

Just a quick update....

Before this cold weather hit I drained the cooling system down after disconnecting various hoses to make sure the whole system drained either side of the thermostat.

The parts have all arrived and as soon as Christmas is out of the way and the weather improves I'll be back at it.

I've decided to purchase the car and have been to the Post Office to get the log book application form, not sure if I can do that online but will look. I just grabbed a form whilst I was there

Corin has kindly offered to lend me his Bentley manual and a coolant system test kit that I will certainly take him up on

Nice one.... yeah this weather is preventing me from putting the rest of mine back together!.... am stuck to doing what I can in the shed....

You can get a copy of the form online to print off but that is it, you still have to complete and send of via snail mail with 25 squids me thinks.

Deal done on car purchase: £250
Even if worse case scenario and head is warped/head gasket gone I think all parties involved are happy and no-one should be out of pocket.

My parents are going to have the Polo
