What strut brace set should I buy?
« on: 14 February 2005, 16:35 »
As I'm gonna be having a 16v conversion soon, thought I'd better get a 3 piece strut brace set. Can anyonre recommend a set for around ?100? I see that volksbits do one for ?76, is this one any good?

Should I not bother with braces and get anti roll bars instead? Any advise you be appriciated.

Cheers

Chris

I had braces on my cabro that was a 16v but I can't remember how much they were or even the make, but I do know that I had a polished one nad that I had to grind the corner of the top one down a bit to get it in there!

Sorry no help at all really am I!

Not answering your question, but who's doing the engine conversion?

I always thought the eibach front with trimsport back looked the best.

Also look into fitting a lower brace, links the front wishbones together.

Jodie at Dubvelopments is doing it for me

I bought a lower and rear strut brace for ?20 at Dubfreeze, so well happy with that. Want to get an eibach lower anti rool bar next

Cheers for the advise guys

ARB's will make the car handle much much better than strut braces clart.

mine is full brached up but i still get way too muck lean in the carners for my liking  (as shown below)
