High Beam staying on

Hi all
 On the way to work this morn my high beam decided to stay on had a play but stays on all lights work so could it be a broken stalk if so are they hard to get and are they hard to fit or anything else It could be.

It sounds like it may be a sticking contact in the indicator stalk. It's an easy enough job. Remove the trim around the steering wheel and the steering wheel itself. You will then be able to clearly see how it works and whether the contacts are sticking. The trickiest part can sometimes be plugging the electrical connectors sides back into the stalk.

yeah pretty much only going to be the wiper stalk.  all the power for the lights comes from the stalk itself rather than the light switch. what it could be is on the indicator stalk there is a plastic lug which slots into a switch on the washer stalk, if this lug snaps or slips out then you wont be able to switch between beams
