strange noise
« on: 12 December 2010, 21:51 »
Im getting what can be best described as a grinding noise, similar to when brake pads are down to the metal but not as loud. get it at low speeds pretty sure its there at faster speeds but due to exhaust cant hear it I suspect its a wheel bearing but im not sure what the signs of a wheel bearing going sounds like.

 any ideas welcome

cheers

jim

Jack car up and wobble wheel side to side. Spin wheel 90 degrees and repeat. When spinning the wheel listen for the whistling bud. Sorry about the spelling
