just having a think!  :nerd:
which mk4 engines are good? the 1.8 turbo. dont have a clue about anything on the mk4 engines. might take lazylunatics route, might not. thank you all

sorry wayne i ment the engine code. agu aux aum or whatever they are called. which is the best of them all and more reliable?

I think the AGU is suppost to be more reliable but it is less tunable as standard because it has a weaker turbo than the newer AUM

what do you guys do on a AGU then? for modding wise? remap, fmic, forge 007, bigger injectors, indution kit & a k03s turbo?? will that be all good to run on the standard internals? or is it to risky?

agu mate, it has a forged bottom end as standard , with a remap and a ko4001 turbo you can achieve 215bhp no problem , the bottom ends are capable of 350bhp

Didnt come in a MK4. That was in S3, Cupras and TTs.

AUQ are decent with a nice 6 speed but only came in cars from 2002+ so are the most expensive. AUMs with a larger KO3S turbo compared to the AGU (KO3). Best of both worlds is buy an AGU and upgrade to a KO3S.

AUQ is standard in 2001 cupra, would that make a difference in price?
