If its a mk6 golf GTI it has that engine. It was never made with the older engine in it.

If its a GTD it has a belt. If its a Golf R it has a belt. If its a golf ....

I have experienced sqeaking on a cold start but it seems to be my heater fan, its not loud at all and goes away once the car has heated up. Has anybody else had this?

Are you sure its the fan, becuse it could be the very same issue ??

Ill double check on the next drive, but it seemed to go once i turned the fan off.

^ Try a bit WD40 on the fan? But you need to start from cold as in overy night cold!!
