Sportline Cabrio Trim

Hi
I have recently fitted my clipper cabriolet with the interior from a sportline model, only problem is i have a rectangular hole just in front of the mirror adjuster on each door panel which is really bugging me. Looking at pictures of Sportline/Rivage models there seems to be a rectangular plastic cover which blanks the hole.
I have been to three dealers who all said there is no such cover and some PO must have cut the holes??
This is total baloney the hole is stitched around the edge so was obviously put there for an optional extra of some kind. Unless i can give them the part no. of the part I'm stuffed. Anybody out there able to confirm this blanking plate does exist, anyone know what the hell it was for?
Any good Samaritan out there can let me have the part no. of the back please!!
Thanks

Hi mate, if you mean the little square black plate that looks like it's a little speaker then I can confirm that they certainly do exist. What they were actually for ? I've no idea, I thought they were window winder holes at first but that's rubbish because they are too high.

Thanks for that,
Sounds like the part about 50mm square. i thought it might be for an electric mirror option but I've never heard of electric mirrors on Mk1's.
All i need now guys is a part number.
Thanks

Yep they are for tweeters. Mine were missing, after phoning around some VW dealer I found the part number, but I have lost it!
The guy I spoke to said that he could order them up for me but they are £25 each, so I left them!
