Would you rather have a fire damaged car or covered in extinguisher chemicals?
Either way it's f**ked, pretty sure that sh!t don't come out too easy, if not at all!

As above. Always carry one in the car just in case (used to own a Beetle which are notorious for engine fires ). If you have it, you probably won't need it

Would you rather have an uncontrollable fire or the chance to extinguish a small one?

I've always had a fire extinguisher in the Golf. Just make sure you fit it somewhere accessible in the event of an emergency.

Best place is usually to bolt it to the floor immediately in front of the passenger seat. Don't let it roll loose around the car!

Oh, and +1 for a branded unit, mine was £15 (~$25) for a similar sized bottle

Small one  :embarassed:
But I'd much rather use a fire blanket or something.
Really wouldn't wanna spray chemical foam all over the car though.
Plus if I saw flames coming out the bonnet I reckon I'd struggle putting my hands amongst the flames to get to the bonnet catch.

I know this would be rare, but I always imagine the worst!
