Drinking fuel??,  iv put nearly £60 in her in a week and hardley drove, the fuel isnt leaking from anywhere but if I take the oil cap off it absolutly stinks of petrol, if its the case that its overfueling should I tamper with the mixture screw in the metering head or could it be the pressure regualtor, and if it is the pressure regulator where is it located, im running an 8v kjet.

Jarvis you are better off taking it to a tuner garage to see what the A&R is going on.
Best to ask if they have worked on Bosch K jet before as well 
Far cheaper to spend I don't know £60 to get it tuned than that a week or screw up the mixture so much it doesn't start anymore

Problem is that k-jet specialists are becoming hard to find now. May be worth resetting the CO and idle as per the guide on here first - mine was running stupidly lean and rough until I decided to adjust the mixture and idle. I never used a gas analyser but the car was felt spot on afterwards, and it passed its MOT last month with no mention of emissions.

If you still have problems, then go to the garage.

Well after spending the day looking for a local garage that will tune it, none of em want to touch it, one told me it's the timeing and it needs to be adjusted whilst the cars running, another said wont touch them thier too tempremental another said the metering heads gone he'l replace it for £300 and so on il try again tommorow if still no joy il atempt adjusting the CO level, would rather leave it to some-one who knows what there doing tho.

If its over fuelling, you can tell by smelling the fumes or checking out the spark plugs.

Bear in mind that in winter, its a lot more likely to consume more fuel. And that £60 of fuel doesn't go that far ...

£60 V Power is 46 litres ~ 10 gallons, which in winter, I usually get (mpg) low 30s, high 20s. So if you've covered 200+ miles, then you're on the money.

... Jeez, I remember when I started driving that £25 would carry you 200 miles!

Thats the problem with K-jet unless you had experience with them it takes time and effort and I've spent 4 hours trying to start mine which it did in the end due to a vac pipe/overrun not on properly, but four hours work for a quick fix how can I justify charging my self four hours of labour for a 30 second fix 
Once its well tunned they fly! 

When the car is warm Jarvis, unplug the ISV jack plug and see if the revs settle down a bit?

More like 30 miles for £60.. Iv tryed that clipperjay still the same, iv noticed that the auxillery air valve keeps opening suggesting that it's either getting too much fuel or not enough air I would presume, still gonna try and track downa specialist tho, dont wana cock it up.

When you say 'taken the oil cap off and it stinks of fuel' .. do you have fuel in your oil? Could be more serious than a simple tune up

I'm not sure there's an ISV on an 8v is there?
