Fitting heated seats?
« on: 03 December 2010, 02:39 »
As the title says - fitted my old heated seats and interior into a mates car a few months back and was bamboozled by the fact that the junction box; you know, the one normally full of green and grey single pin conectors that normally lives avove the fusebox wasn't present. Can't imagine that all pre 95 cars never came with heated seats. So was there an early version with a junciton plate that was cunningly hidden elsewhere?

I have it on my car and another mate has it on his P plate but on the M plate I fitted the interior didn't have it and a previous '95 ABF I owned was also missing the junction box

they all have the junction boxes, just a case if figuring out where they are. sometimes clipped to the top of the fusebox, sometimes clipped to a plate above the steering column, or somewhere else hidden in the dash area.  you will definitely have at least the black ignition live junction box, as this is required to power the clocks.

Mine is early car and the sane junction box is present but not in the normal location as I found out, I found mine behind the headlight switch area if memory serves me correct, took me ages to find them and everyone thought I was mad saying they were not where the late spec cars are, they are deffo their tho
