Car sometimes pulls to the left

Hi,

About 2 weeks ago I had my tracking and camber adjusted (Elites in Rainham), and afterwards in felt 100x better and handles really well since.

The only problem is, occasionaly it pulls to the left fairly obviously, it's not the road angle and I'm guessing it's worn bushes but is there anything more likely it could be before I start saving for a poly kit? The wishbones are both new too.

can you not check what bushes to replace before saving up lol ??

Sorry but how much was elites for tracking as i have 2 cars need doing ??

Yeah sure, although I would prefer to get a kit and change the lot before going back to Elites. Also, I would imagine all the bushes are worn to some extent

Could it be track rod ends or AR bushes that's causing the occasional pulling?

Once I've changed all bushes for poly's including top mounts, what's left that could be worn on the suspenion causing something like this?

Eilte's worked out at about £60 I think. I think they are a flat £40ish to check it out then about £10 per adjustment of camber/tracking so a max of about £60 - if I get a chance tomo I'll dig out the papers and let you know exactly.

For a rough idea. TT shop charge £50 ish for lazer wheel alignment.

Edit: like above. the more adjustment the more they can charge

I have the same problem on the mk2 after the camber adjustment. The steering wheel needs a firm grip on bumpy roads.

New bushes within the last 6 months.

Doesnt bother me but its very noticable.

I would say it could be either only way to know is to check.. Other than what you stated only thing not new would be wishbone bushes.. I would do them at same time so they all done..

You do realise how harsh poly bushes are don't you ??

I had vague wandering steering from a worn lower ball joint. Jack up each front wheel and see if there is any movement there shouldnt be, but if you want to rebush the wishbones, its probably worth doing everything! all bushes and joints.

If the control arms ('wishbones') are new then they'll have new bushes.  Look for play somewhere else.

I wouldn't poly bush - VW bushes are good for 20 years, poly transfer loads around the car inappropriately and squeak.

on an old car i wouldn't want to poly bush as your likely to rattle something apart

Ah ok, no poly's then.

Would GSF bits be as good as genuine? What would all the genuine bit's come to? Less than a set of poly's, more than GSF?
