« on: 02 December 2010, 16:27 »
Right my drivers door locks and un locks normaly BUT the little led on the top of the door that should flash dont flash! and the interior lights and door light dont light up its like it dont know the door is open !!!! And if i unlock the car and open the drivers side and shut it, it will auto lock but if i do the same BUT open the passenger  door or tail gate it dont auto lock and all the interior lights work the way they should on these doors i have taken the door panel off and looked to see if there are anything disconected or anything but all seems good so i am completely baffled!!!!!

faulty microswitch in the door lock module most likely. If you can get it on vagcom and watch the measuring blocks in the convenience module you can determine exactly which part of it is broken. Sometimes they can be repaired, but it's generally easier to pick up a 2nd hand one from a breakers yard.

try vag com. as my uncle hasd same pron. when he pressed the lock button the doors would lock apart from the drivers door and petrol cap, when he would unlock it, the drivers door would lock, used vag com on it cleared the faults and all good
