power to isv

i have tested the ISV on my 16v and it works. however then it is plugged into the car it does not get any power. i have checked the fuses and they all seem fine. what else could it be?? i have another control box for the ISV which i will try tomorrow, does the computer give power to the ISV?

check the black wire has ign live with the ignition on to start with, check it between the black wire and the battery -ve
